Session Description
This session explores the ongoing collaboration between a faculty member and students enrolled in a doctoral course on ethics and equity through the use of Google Tools and other applications. This group began working together in a course delivered in a hybrid format, offered in the summer of 2017, and continued into the fall and spring as a writing collaborative that used Google tools to gather and organize information, share documents, and shape drafts of manuscripts. In addition, the group used other tools, including Zoom, a web conferencing tool, as a means of meeting together. The ongoing collaborative has as its purposes, to a) encourage continued ongoing informal learning of the course content, b) encourage student participation in data gathering and analysis experiences, and c) seek collaborative presentation and publication opportunities related to course topics and methods.

Scot Headley, George Fox University, Newberg, OR, USAI serve as a professor of educational leadership at George Fox University, in Oregon, USA. Earlier in my career, I worked as a high school and community college horticulture instructor and career educator in Aurora, Colorado. My scholarly interests include online teaching and learning and the role of care in teaching and learning. My wife, Debbie, and I are in our 38th year of marriage. We have seven children, ranging in age from 15 to 35, and four grandchildren, four years of age and younger.
