The Art of the Case Study Presentation

Session Description
The Art of the Case Study is a description of an active learning assignment for undergraduate nursing students. After each student writes their own 2-6 page paper on their approved, self-chosen perinatal emergency topic, a related real or hypothetical OB or neonatal case study will be developed and presented in a 5-10 minute video, by groups of 2-3 students; or students may choose to work alone. Students will pick a topic from an approved list, so that not more than one group will cover a specific topic. The videos are viewed by the whole class.

Aloha, I have earned my PhD in the Nursing Program here at UH Manoa and will complete the UH Manoa graduate Certificate in Online Learning Technology next month. For the past eight years. I have been teaching Obstetrical Nursing in the UH system in Hilo.

The focus of my current work centers around national and international policies in standardization of care, fetal monitoring, and continuing education/lifelong learning. My nursing experience is mainly in obstetrics, and I have worked for over twenty years as a continuing education provider for nursing.

My husband, three children, and granddaughter are wonderful and the most important part of my life.
