Session Description
In the “Introduction to the Internet and Web Development” course, which is offered in the Business and Information Systems Department at the Bronx Community College/The City University of New York, unique and measurable program outcomes to rubric construction were developed; from deciding on an assessment vehicle to interpreting the data gathered every semester for the past three years in order to understand the critical role of assessment in teaching and learning technologies. A template was prepared summarizing the learning outcomes and the assessment tools, and compared to a preset benchmark. Analyzed data and action plans were shared with both faculty and students in the current or subsequent semester.
